Paul Mikolich
Trade Marketing and Government Relations Manager, Gerdau
Paul Mikolich became Trade Marketing and Government Relations Manager for Canadian operations at Gerdau in 2008 after nearly 25 years of experience in the steel industry. Prior to this role, Mr. Mikolich held various positions with Gerdau at two of the three Canadian operations.
He began his career with Courtice Steel in Bowmanville, Ontario in 1984 where he spent 14 years in roles such as Sales Representative, Inside Sales Manager, Regional Sales Manager and Marketing Manager. In 1998, Mr. Mikolich joined Co-Steel and held the position of General Sales Manager for four years where he was responsible for the sale of merchant products throughout North America. Co-Steel and Gerdau Ameristeel then merged in 2002.
Beyond his current role, Mr. Mikolich is on the board of directors for the Canadian Institute of Steel Construction, Steel Structures Education Foundation, and Ontario Chapter of the Metal Service Centre Institute.
Mr. Mikolich holds a Bachelors degree from the University of Toronto in Commerce and Economics and holds a certificate issued by the Canadian Securities Institute in Toronto. A resident of Ontario for over 50 years, Mr. Mikolich is married and is a father of three.
